Faulty Electrical System Prompts New Flyer Vehicle Recall
News sources across the nation have been reporting that New Flyer Industries Ltd. Has declared a recall of approximately 490 units of the XD-35, XD-40, XDE-35, XDE40 and XN40 of their 2010 and 2011 vehicles.
This particular recall is due to a specific faulty programming of the instrument panel. Since a faulty message can result in an engine shut down, the vehicle propulsion will be subsequently affected, which will result in the vehicle stalling or even crashing.
The company will reprogram the instrument panel for all owners of these recalled vehicles. According to the official statements, the carmaker should contact owners during the month of January of 2012.
As a Los Angeles Lawyer, I hope recalled vehicle owners will respond to this recall promptly so any faulty part can be replaced or properly fixed. I’m always deeply saddened to hear about accidents caused by faulty vehicles, especially because I know they could have been prevented. Stay safe and keep your loved ones safe by maintaining your vehicle in a perfect condition always.
